Introducing HeadSafe by Neural Connections
Technology that reduces the risk of brain injury through impact and participation in sport.
Decrease the prevalence of neurodegenerative diseases within sport to individuals
Monitor the occurrence of brain damage in real time
Process impact data through our neural network brain trauma analysis software to advise on cognitive behaviour and remedial action

Summary
Neural Connections aims to minimise the prevalence of repetitive brain injury because of participation in contact sports.
Research has demonstrated the severe effects of repetitive brain trauma during participation in contact sports, ranging from decreased memory capacity to suicidal tendencies. At Neural Connections we believe action needs to be taken to minimise the athlete’s exposure to brain injury at all levels of sport.
We have developed and are continuing to develop our advanced brain trauma analysis software. This software utilises data collected by our high precision sensor unit worn within a custom-made scrum cap to identify the occurrence of brain trauma in real-time. Ultimately, preventing the brain traumas from compounding, as it is the compounding nature of brain injuries that have been shown to lead to dementia.
Simultaneously, we monitor how the brain trauma the athlete sustained affects their brain's functionality by analysing changes in how their eyes respond to different stimuli.
By working alongside our neuroscientists, computer scientists, engineers, and our clients, we have the privilege of being able to advance the field of traumatic brain injury, in conjunction with providing sharper, more effective, healthier athletes of the future.

The Cost of brain related issues to the NHS per year is £112 billion.
Glasgow brain injury research group observed ex-professional footballers were 3.5% more likely to develop a neurodegenerative disease than people their age.
Boston university observed a 99% correlation between participation in American football and developing CTE.
The symptoms of concussion are typically delayed. Therefore, athletes are often not removed from participation at the point of injury, making them vulnerable to worsening and additional injuries. This delay causes injuries to compound and become more significant.

Why Neural Connections?
- Simply removing the athlete from participation when a concussion has occurred will prevent the occurrence of a second injury, we are the only company on the market that offers this.
- We offer a premium package of professional level technology, and high-quality customer assistance at an affordable price because we aim to aid in the minimisation of dementia because of participation in sport to the greatest extent possible.
- The development of our technology was founded on the premise of putting neuroscience first. As a result, we apply neuroscientific research to the real world, enabling us to develop the best technology possible.
